About me:

I was educated at the Grammar School, Guernsey and have a Degree in Fine Art (BA Hons), exhibited work both locally and internationally, completed training at St Thomas’ Hospital, have successfully run my own business, Champion for Guernsey Mind and Mental Health First Aider. I am regularly involved with the Guernsey Arts Commission, Guernsey Mind and Liberate.

In June 2018 I moved back to Guernsey having lived in Westminster, London for 4 years. Living in London gave me a great new outlook, however, it made me realise how much I missed Guernsey and I am so grateful to be back on this beautiful Island permanently.

You may recognise me from my ‘Notes to Islanders’ (a series of brightly coloured boards with life-affirming quotes which I installed around the Island). The aim of ‘Notes to Islanders’ was to help distil the stigma of Mental Health on the Island and ultimately help brighten up your day. As a professional artist I use my art work as a platform to raise discussion surrounding political issues that are close to my heart.

I am an empathetic, hard working and passionate individual who likes to get things done effectively and efficiently. My life experiences has given me a strong character and leadership skills. I am a friendly, open-minded and approachable person who cares very strongly about the Island of Guernsey and the well-being of my fellow islanders. I believe communication and connection are essential in maintaining a thriving society. I enjoy speaking to people and hearing different points of view and would welcome all questions and suggestions. Please feel free to message me any time, I will reply as soon as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction.
